The 5 songs I'm listening to this week and why. 8/9/20 - 8/15/20

  1. FBG Duck - “Chicago Legends”

    RIP FBG Duck….

I have a little message I’m writing and will release right after this about Duck but he himself has now become a Chicago Legend after getting shot and killed last week. It was nice to see a Chicago rapper give respect to his opps and their talent. I’ve always believe that your dislike for someone or something is completely separate from their skills or what makes them good. We do it all the time when sports stars get in trouble post playing career and we still have to mention them on sports shows for their accolades. OJ, LT, etc. Rest up Duck. You’re a Drill rap OG forever. ✊🏾

  2. Damone - “Out Here All Night”

Is this classified as Rock, Pop, or Punk music? I’m not really sure but I like this band and this song! I’m pretty sure this is their biggest hit and just now watching the video to this song there are a lot of comments talking about Juice Wrld brought me here. I need to look into the connection but RIP Juice and respect to the fact he knew this band. A hit, is a hit, is a hit and NOBODY can say this song isn’t a hit.

  3. Kat Dahlia - “Gangsta”

I heard this song for the first time in Kaniesha’s car and shazam’d it! I rock with this song tough. The chorus should sound familiar to you. All I know is that 50 Cent is DEFINITELY making money off of this song, as he should. It looks like most of her music is in Spanish but this song is in English and it’s a BANGER!

  4. Amanda Delara - “Nå er det oss”

“Nå er det oss” means “Now it’s us” in Norwegian and this is a Norwegian pop song!! It doesn’t matter if you can’t understand all the words (neither can I!) haha But check it out, do you know how many people in the world love American music and cannot understand English?? A LOT!! Why do they like the music?? The vibes! How it makes you feel. Listen to this song and to try to tell me you don’t like it… I’ll wait. P.S. Told you that Norwegians come in all colors. She’s a Mexican Norwegian. 🇲🇽🇳🇴🙌🏾

  5. When In Rome - “The Promise”

This song screams 80’s music with its New Wave Synth Pop sound. I am pretty sure everyone has heard this song before. I think it’s from a movie. Let me check, hold please. AH!! It’s the end song to “Napoleon Dynamite”. I knew it! Regardless it’s a SMASH hit anyway. Am I the only one who believes 80’s music is literally the best music!?!? 🎶🎵

As always please leave comments and tell me what you think about my list! 🙏🏾
