The 5 songs I'm listening to this week and why. 8/30/20 - 9/12/20

  1. Jeezy - “the enTRAPreneur”

The Gary Vee intro is inspiring af. On what is Young Jeezy’s final album “Thug Motivation 104: The Legend of the Snowman” this is the very first song you hear. Those violins though!! Hearing Jeezy takes me back to my dealing days. Riding around and getting it. Night time in the rain. Keep on pushin’ baby. This song perfectly sums up Young Jeezy’s musical career and growth as well as my own. And I have come to accept my past for making me who I am today.

  2. Kali Skrap - “Bad Luck”

From reading the youtube comments on this song, the Netflix show “Easy” brought everyone to this song! I’m not even sure what genre of music this is. It sure is great though!

  3. Sam Hunt - “Hard To Forget”

I think country music might be best listened to while in a relationship cause this is making me feel lonely and single AF! haha Well its either be in a relationship or be heartbroken over the one you lost. I’ve been through it all that. Country music is sneaking up on me.

  4. Black River Delta - “Follow You Down”

So this group is a Swedish blues rock band! Their music is fabulous. I have lived in Scandinavia and I couldn’t tell they were Swedish! Singing is like that though. There is no accent in singing. If you have never heard of this band. Go. Listen. Now.

  5. Deer Tick - “Smith Hill”

Have you seen the TV show “Kingdom” on Netflix?? That show is incredible and the soundtrack is even better! I heard this and shazam’d it and now its on repeat on my playlist! If you like Lynyrd Skynyrd (who doesn’t?) you’ll love Deer Tick.
