LaMelo Ball and the Ball Family

Let me start by saying CONGRATULATIONS to LaMelo Ball for becoming an NBA player! Drafted 3rd overall by the Charlotte Hornets, it most certainly means excitement is coming to North Carolina. I remember when I first heard about the Ball Brothers. It was 2016 and my little brother Tariq, @FamousRiqq on IG, who was an All State and League MVP High School Basketball player at the time was asking me about them. I wasn’t aware of any of them! My brother showed me a video on youtube about three brothers balling at Chino Hills High School and I was hooked! They went 35-0 and finished number 1 in the nation at seasons end, as a PUBLIC SCHOOL! That 2016 team has my vote for best high school basketball team of all time. Let’s not forget about their teammate and likely greatest basketball player in Chino Hills High School history, Onyeka Okongwu. He was drafted 6th overall by the Atlanta Hawks after an outstanding season at USC. Yeah when a public high school has 3 NBA players as teammates, that’s how you get undefeated state championships in California. It really should be 4 because Gelo can play in the NBA, I do believe that! He will get there! Gelo is actually my favorite Ball brother and he was the leading scorer on that great Chino Hills team.

Oh yeah, can I be the first to say that if we are ever blessed with a Lavar Ball vs Michael Jordan game, my money is on LaVar! You heard the man when he said he was UNDEFEATED!! I’m just sayin’, until I see someone beat LaVar… I haven’t yet. I wish nothing but the best for this family and I’m gonna link some videos down below. Check those out and get familiar! Melo is about make the Hornets be relevant despite the team likely not being very good for his first couple years.
