The 5 songs I'm listening to these 2 weeks and why. 10/11/20 - 10/24/20
G-Dep - “Let’s Get It” (feat. Diddy & Black Rob)
This video introduced the entire world to the “Harlem Shake” which is a dance with…. well you’ll see it down below. I was always a fan of Black Rob because I’m black and my name is Rob too! haha his Life Story album is a CLASSIC! Better than 90% of what you hear today. G-Dep is in prison for murder after confessing to a 20 year old cold case murder. I respect him for doing the right thing. Blessings when he comes home. Let’s get it!
Black Rob - “Whoa”
Quiet as kept, Black Rob was the dopest dude on Bad Boy! Carried the torch after BIG passed and carried them into the next generation. He brought/gave/was finessed for G-Dep and Rob is the only reason for that. The Notorious BIG said this in the song “Victory” - “Black Rob joined the mob, it ain’t no replacing him.”
Certified to me!
Lana Del Rey - “Young and Beautiful”
This might be my very favorite Lana Del Ray song. “Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful?” Your love partner should. I really hope I get to make it from young and beautiful to old and beautiful with an amazing partner. Love is fickle, you can’t find it when you’re looking for it. Or you meet people you think are cool and they catfish you lol. Dating is hard, I feel like everybody is fake. I’m looking for the real one. That, I most certainly am sure of.
Paris Hilton - “Stars Are Blind”
I don’t care what anyone says, I LOVE this song! Did you even know that Paris Hilton had an album? This song peaked at 18 on the US Charts but hit the top 10 in 15 countries around the world. Bravo! When you gonna drop the next record girl???
Cher - “Believe”
First of all Cher is gorgeous and she could still get it… TODAY! haha She’s 74 and so talented that she only has one name and would be just as relevant as ever if she dropped an album tomorrow.
